• Birth Data: Your birth date, birth time, and birth location, voluntarily provided to generate astrological charts.
• Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers.
• Usage Data: Conversation history with AI, generated chart data, horoscope requests, and session metadata.
• Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, and device information collected through standard web server logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate natal charts and transit calculations using the Swiss Ephemeris
• Provide AI-powered astrological interpretations and chat conversations
• Convert birth locations to geographic coordinates for chart accuracy
• Process credit purchases and manage your account
• Send transactional emails such as account confirmation
• Improve and maintain the Service

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate AstroStar Insights. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:

• Supabase: Authentication and database hosting for user accounts, charts, and conversations.
• Stripe: Payment processing for credit purchases. Subject to the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI: AI model provider for chart interpretations and chat. Subject to the OpenAI Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic: AI model provider for interpretations and chat. Subject to the Anthropic Privacy Policy.
• OpenCage: Geocoding service to convert birth location names to coordinates. Subject to the OpenCage Privacy Policy.

5. Data Shared with AI Providers

To generate astrological readings, we send your birth chart data and conversation messages to AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic). We do not send your payment information, email address, or account credentials to AI providers. AI providers may process this data according to their own privacy policies linked above.

6. Data Retention

Your account data, charts, and conversation history are retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at astrostarinsights@gmail.com and we will process your request.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and encrypted database connections through Supabase. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies

AstroStar Insights uses cookies solely for authentication session management through Supabase. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

AstroStar Insights is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Update or correct your information through your account Settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Request a copy of your data
